Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park
The Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park is a natural park that is part of the Xarxa d’Espais Naturals protegits. The Diputació de Barcelona is in charge of promoting and managing the park.
This 15,000 ha space forms a natural barrier between the Maresme coastal plain and the depression of the Vallès i la Selva regions. It is constituted by the massissos of Montnegre and Corredor.
fauna and flora
We can find alzinars, suredes, pinedes de pi pinyer, rouredes, hazelnuts, chestnuts, among others. It stands out for its mycological value. The fauna is varied and abundant. It constitutes an area of interest to observe migratory ocells.
architectural heritage
Of the architectural heritage, the dolmens of La Pedra and Pedra Arca stand out, remains of Iberian settlements at Turó del Vent or Puig del Castell, esglésies, chapels and medieval hermitages.
Pineda de Mar is one of the 13 municipalities that make up part of this natural space. From the municipality it is possible to start one of the itineraris marcats to visit the park.
