Small Feast of Sant Joan 2024

 They will begin on Sunday, June 16 and end on Monday, 24 with the celebrations of the Saint John festivities

 A Book Exchange Fair is being organized for which copies can already be brought from Thursday 13 June

The Festa Major Petita presents a program for this year 2024. The events will begin next Sunday, June 16, at 11am, with the traditional beaching of boats and the Marine Procession that will take place at Platja de Pescadors. This year, the Pescadors de Pineda will honor Josep Perelló Piñero, the “Nene”.

The events will resume on Saturday 22 June with the Book Exchange Fair, which will be held from 10am in Carreró de la Vila and Plaça Catalunya. The Fair will allow both the exchange of books and the acquisition at a symbolic price of €1, which will be dedicated to charitable purposes. People who want to participate can bring their book from June 13, to Can Comas, where it will be exchanged for a ticket to be used on the day of the Fair.

Saint John’s night

The Canigó Flame will arrive in Pineda on Sunday the 23rd. This arrival is scheduled for 9pm in Plaça Mélies and will start the festivities organized in Plaça Mélies itself, Plaça Biblioteca and Platja dels Pins

Saint John’s Day

The events for St. John’s Day will begin at the Parish Church of Santa Maria at 12 noon, with a solemn service in honor of St. John the Baptist. In the afternoon, from 7pm, Plaça Mélies will host Sardanes dances and Giants dance. Finally, at 9pm and in Plaça Espanya, the farewell concert of the Cuban quartet GEMA 4 will take place.
