Seaside route on the Way of St James

Starting point:

As it is a circular route you can begin from any point, but we recommend starting from either the children’s park in front of Poblenou beach or the Nautical Base on Platja dels Pins.

Duration: approximately 1h30’

Itinerary: this hike runs along the promenade in Pineda de Mar, between Calella and Santa Susanna, and it is part of the seaside route of the Way of St James (Via Marina del Camí de Sant Jaume), in the Alt Maresme section.

Points of interest:

1 Platja dels Pins: biohealthy sports facilities, Pineda’s protected natural reserve, rest area with natural shade and the nautical base.

2 Platja dels Pescadors: bunker (visible according to the natural movements of the beach sand), tourist advertisement “Giant letters of Pineda de Mar”, little blue house “Barraca i Confraria de Pescadors” and traditional boats area.

3 Platja de la Riera: It is a quiet beach where you can enjoy a relaxed and family atmosphere. Enjoy a walk with natural shade and landscaped areas that will make you feel calm and relaxed.

4 Poblenou beach: biohealthy sports facilities, dog beach, adapted playground, callisthenics park, bunker (next to the dog beach).

Recommendations:

Follow the blue markers that indicate the seaside route of the Way of St James (“Via Marina del Camí de Sant Jaume”). Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and carry some drinking water with you.
